About KOFIHKim Do-hoon, Deputy Country Representative (Acting Country Representative) of KOFIH Uganda Office has been awarded a Commendation from the Minister of Foreign Affairs in recognition of his contribution to the field of development cooperation.
Mr. Kim has played a pivotal role in strengthening KOFIH’s local foundation in Uganda by securing, for the first time in KOFIH’s history, official institutional registration and legal status for the Uganda office, as well as by identifying new cooperative projects with the Office of the Prime Minister. In addition, he has achieved tangible results such as establishing the first Team Korea ODA cooperation model and promoting institutional and policy changes through training programs for policymakers. These accomplishments were highly praised for enhancing KOFIH’s brand recognition in the development cooperation sector and for significantly contributing to the strengthening of Uganda’s healthcare system.
In his acceptance remarks, the Acting Representative stated, “This achievement is not the result of individual effort, but a collective accomplishment made possible by the dedication of the entire KOFIH Uganda office and all KOFIH staff working together in unison.” He added, “I am pleased to share this honor with my colleagues and will take it as renewed motivation to continue contributing to the organization with commitment and responsibility.”
KOFIH plans to continue generating meaningful and sustainable outcomes in development cooperation through strategic partnerships led by its overseas offices and through locally tailored programs.
