KOFIH hosted the commencement ceremony of the Dr LEE Jong-wook Fellowship Mentoring Program at Seoul President Hotel on August 27. This mentoring program was initiated in 2012 to help the fellows better adapt to the life and training in Korea. The program includes former international cooperation doctors who were dispatched to developing countries for a long term and served as Korea’s professional public servant for patient consultation and treatment, as mentors. The ceremony was joined by 50 doctors, fellows, and officials from the Ministry of Health and Welfare. In his opening remarks, the KOFIH President said “the mentors who are well aware of the situation of developing countries could be a great help to the fellows during the training. I hope all the participants to complete the rest of the training successfully.”
