Ceremony for Provision of Medical Supplies to enhance the National Health in Uzbekistan(June 23rd)

On June 23rd(Tuesday), a ceremony for provision of medical supplies to enhance the national health in Uzbekistan was held at KOFIH`s medical equipment support center located in Yangju of Gyeonggi-Do.
120,000 Nicostop Patch Boxes(worth $1,150,000) were donated by Handok Pharmaceuticals Co.,Ltd to KOFIH for provision to the Soglom Avlod Uchun International Charity Foundation. Smoking is one of the factors having influences on health. Therefore, this provision was executed to enhance the national health in Uzbekistan by lowering its smoking rate.
This ceremony for provision of medical supplies was conducted along with KOFIH`s ceremony for expansion of medical equipment support center. In this ceremony, Han, Kwang Soo, the president of KOFIH, No, Kwang Ul, the secretary general of KOFIH, the staff members of KOFIH, Yoon, Byung Ho, the vice president of Handok Pharmaceuticals Co.,Ltd, persons from international cooperation department of the Ministry for Health, Welfare, and Family Affairs, persons from the Ministry of Unification, and personnel from the Soglom Avlod Uchun International Charity Foundation showed up.
KOFIH has agreed to conduct field monitoring in Uzbekistan for effectively enhancement of the national health in Uzbekistan. In addition, the Soglom Avlod Uchun International Charity Foundation has agreed submit plans for distribution of medical supplies and distribution result reports to KOFIH for efficient accomplishment of the goals of transparent distributions and enhancement in health. Finally, an agreement specifying above details was signed by KOFIH and the Soglom Avlod Uchun International Charity Foundation.
Han, Kwang Soo, the president of KOFIH quoted "Provision of Nicostop to Uzbekistan is expected to make contributions to antismoking in Uzbekistan. Based on such provision, other developing countries and the entire world are expected to show their interests in antismoking".
Yoon, Byung Ho, the vice president of Handok Pharmaceuticals Co.,Ltd, quoted "Due to expansion in trading between Korea and Uzbekistan, the provision of medical services from Korea to Uzbekistan is becoming more active" and he also quoted "I hope people in Tashkent area successfully quit smoking and live more healthy lives".
Inamova, the chairman of the Soglom Avlod Uchun International Charity Foundation who received the provision of medical supplies, quoted "We would like to show our appreciation to South Korea for this provision. We will do our best to enhance the national health in Uzbekistan".
