Ceremony for Donation from the Family of Late Lee, Jong Wook, the Former Director General of WHO(November 28th)

On November 28th(Friday), the family of Late Lee, Jong Wook, the former WHO director general and the first awardee of `Korea/America`s Proud Doctor Award` co-run by KMA and Korean/American Medicine donated 70,000,000Won of the entire prize money 100,000,000Won to KOFIH in order to provide support for the projects to commemorate Late Lee, Jong Wook.
The ceremony was quietly run. Park, Jong Hwa, the president of KOFIH, KOFIH`s employees, Song, Byung Il, the deputy director of the international cooperation authorized by the Ministry for Health, Welfare and Family Affairs, Lee, Jong Oh, the bereaved and professor of Myungji University, and Sin, Pil, Gyoon, the secretary general of the Community Chest of Korea showed up. Lee, Jong Oh, a younger brother of Late Lee, Jong Wook`s and professor of Myungji University quoted "Through a discussion between the family members, we have decided to donate this money to respect Late Lee, Jong Wook`s desire to provide healthcare supports and volunteer services to the neglected class of people in the third countries" and he also quoted "Please continue to honor the desire of Late Lee, Jong Wook`s in the future just as KOFIH has been doing so".
The authorized members of the international cooperation appreciated Late Lee, Jong Wook`s family and quoted "We will work hard to spread the desire of Late Lee, Jong Wook who performed an outstanding role in the world of healthcare as the first Korean chief of international organization".
On this day, KOFIH presented through professor Lee, Jong Oh an appreciation plaque to Kaburaki Reiko, an individual conducting projects in Peru to relieve the poor.
