From February 17th to 19th, 32nd South Korean/North Korea`s Co-treatment was conducted in Onjeong People`s Hospital. In this co-treatment, 134 North Korean residents consisted of 25 from internal medicine, 30 from surgery, 62 from ophthalmology, and of 17 from oriental medicine received benefits of medical treatments. Kim, Gum Mi, the director of Ilsan Seoul Internal Medicine, conducted her treatment in internal medicine by using gastroscope, abdominal ultrasonography, ECG, blood liver-function examination, and thorax X-ray. Kim, Kwan Seok, the director of Kim, Kwan Seok Clinic, performed scar ? corn ? mantis ? tumor removal surgery and won fervent responses. Lim, dong Kwon, the director of Munsan Jeil Ophthalmology treated cataract/retina-damaged patients in ophthalmology. Director Lim treated approximately 60 patients in two days. with his friendliness and experience gained through treating patients in Onjeong People`s Hospital. In oriental medicine, Park, Yong Shin, the planning executive(director of Dongseo Oriental Medicine) of KMA, and Lee, Joo Kwan, the public health doctor, not only treated their patients involving digestive/respiratory systems, but also actively performed a pilot survey on a project for South Korea/North Korea`s cooperation for Oriental Medicine. Prior to this process, KOFIH and KMA signed an agreement to provide support for developing nations and North Korea. South Korea/North Korea`s co-treatment was successfully ended based on outstanding medical technology, hospitality, and warm humanity of the medical staff members from South Korea and medical staff members in North Korea who always await and welcome medical staff members from South Korea.
