On February 2nd, an unveiling ceremony co-established and co-managed by KOFIH and KMA was held at Dong-A Hall of KMA to welcome the medical assistance team. This ceremony was run under live and hot excitement towards volunteer services. Park, Jong Hwa, the president of KOFIH, Joo, Soo Ho, the president of KMA, Yoo, Hee Tak, the chairman of committee of KMA, and approximately 50 members of the medical assistance teem attended the ceremony. The medical assistance team was co-promoted by KOFIH and KMA as part of 100th commemorative event. Such team is the largest medical assistance team within KMA. Lim, Dong Kwon, the general director of KMA presided over this welcoming ceremony. Movie clips publicizing KOFIH and displaying activities of the medical assistance team were shown. The ceremony was run in order of appreciation given by Park, Jong Hwa, the president of KOFIH, and Joo, Soo Ho, the president of KMA, congratulatory message given by Yoo, Hee Tak, the chairman of the committee of KMA, and award of appointment letter. Then the future management plan for the medical assistance team was described. Finally, the medical volunteer service section newly added to the web-site was explained. Park, Jong Hwa, the president of KOFIH quoted "I would like to show my gratitude to the doctors from KMA who gathered up to provide support for our neighbors in the poor countries". Joo, Soo Ho, the president of KMA quoted "KMA will always perform the best to provide support for the project of international medical volunteer service" and also quoted "I would appreciate active participations of the members of KMA". After the ceremony, the interiors of radiodiagnosis vehicle, mobile clinic, and mobile clinic with dentistry/gynecology functions for foreign migrant workers displayed at the garden of KMA were observed. 118 doctors are accepted as members as of February 2nd and these doctors will begin their activities by giving free treatments to foreign migrant workers in Korea on February 17th. The medical assistance team will be gathering members willing to volunteer all year around. Doctors interested in volunteering should participate. Through this inauguration of the international medical service team, the volunteering of medical man is expected to become more active to expand into overall medical system.
