From January 18th to 20th, members of KOFIH including No, Kwang Ul, the Secretary General of KOFIH visited Onjeong-Ri People`s Hospital located near Gumgang Mt. in Goseong-Gun, Gangwon-Do, North Korea along with 40 other persons from the Ministry of Health and Welfare, Ministry of Unification, National Assembly Advisor in charge of Health and Welfare, medical staff, pharmaceutical company, and the National Health Insurance Corporation. Since October 2006, KOFIH has been promoting a project for remodeling of Onjeong-Ri People`s Hospital. KOFIH has settled gynecological functions in Onjeong-Ri People`s Hospital by providing support for medicine/medical supplies/medical equipment, During this visit, 4 medical staff members performed direct medical treatment for North Korean residents. South Korean doctors will be co-treating the patients with North Korean doctors within a prompt schedule by visiting actual fields biweekly.
