100 rovision of Medical Supplies to Support North Korean Compatriots in Flood-stricken Areas 2006-08-16 KOFIH established a project of `Provision of Medical Supplies to the North Korean Compatriot in Flood-stricken Areas` at the third dock of Incheon Port on August 16th, and such project also included a provision of antibiotic and Glucose. Medical supplies involved in this project were supported by Dowzonpham Co.,Ltd and such supplies are scheduled to be delivered to the flood-stricken Yangdeok-Gun of Pyeongannam-Do through NK KCRC and Joseon Medical Association. In July 2005, KOFIH sent medical supplies(worth 500,000,000Won) to the residents living in Deokcheon-Gun of Pyeongannam-Do. In 2004, KOFIH sent medical supplies(worth 3,300,000,000Won) to the victims of train explosion-hit Yongcheon area in North Korea. Due to filthy hygienic conditions, contaminated drinking water, cold, and communal living, the flood-stricken areas are exposed to disasters which may dramatically and rapidly cause diarrhea, cholera, typhoid, cold, respiratory system infection, critical coughing, muscle pain, injury, skin disease, and parasite infection. Medical supplies that are required to treat such diseases are fever reducer, painkiller, rehydration, antidiarrheal, antibiotic, skin ointment, ophthalmic remedy, anthelmintic, tonic, muscle relaxant, disposable syringe, bandage, antiseptic, and sterilized gauze. Therefore, such supplies are scheduled to be sent continuously.
